As mentioned previously, I received a task to select five themes in my research and to respond to these through rapid experimentation.
After identifying points from my proposal and midpoint submission, I decided to use the Padlet previously created at the start of the project. Within the Padlet, I had already begun identifying themes and making notes regarding the different authors who have thoughts on these areas.
Using the Padlet as a guide, I separated the project into the five themes requested, combining some of the areas due to regular overlapping. The themes are as follows;
1) Sexualisation/Objectification and Sexual Violence (towards women)
2) Stereotypical Representation
3) The Female Detective and Positive Representation
4) Lack of Representation of Female Identities
5) Retro-Narrative
Once I identified the themes, I began placing the information I had gathered on the 'categories' into a mind map.

After completion, I was able to create individual mind maps for the different themes. I started with 'sexualisation/objectification and sexual violence. Once I had included notes and examples, I added ideas, research avenues, experiments, and potential outcomes. These are the notes in pink.

Once that was completed, I began to respond to some of the ideas within the brainstorm. The other themes will have to be mind-mapped at another time.
