A Change of Plan

I have begun to experiment with different materials for my collage when I started to doubt whether this would be the best way to test if subversion within creative practice enhance creativity. The issue is that it may be that collage is a more creative method of practice but by removing the planning and research aspect I could be hindering the creative process. I felt it would be better to try adapting my practice in small steps through research, using the research as a method of discovering interesting design methods.

It was suggested by one of my peers that maybe a journey of work would be better as it can be studied to see how my work changes as a result of testing out more subversive design methods.

I think a good way to start would be add my missing research onto my blog and maybe try out some different methods of creation i.e. a poster. Trying out different things and subverting a different aspect of my practice in each. Then maybe I can collate it together at the end and see if I feel there has been a development in my creativity. I think more knowledge on subversion and creativity may also be beneficial for me.

What's great about this is the work I have already done, i.e. my notes, experiments and research will still be useful and can continue from where I am at.
